5 Independent Fairfield Coffee Shops
Cincy has a great coffee scene, but venture a little further out and there are some real hidden gems, no more so than in Fairfield.

Fairfield Coffee
Coffee buckets. Yep, that’s what Fairfield Coffee does for a limited time each year. You can get your iced latte in a coffee cup with a handle over it. Kind of crazy, kind of cool. Fairfield Coffee isn’t just about the novelties. They’ve been locally owned since 2011, and they’re a “but first, coffee” kind of neighborhood spot.
You can expect a constant rotation of seasonal drinks through the seasons, including the “white lightning” winter coffee infused with white chocolate and vanilla, which sounds tres bon.
We also recommend grabbing a freshly baked cinnamon roll or coffee cake while you’re at it because the bakery case is doing just as much work as the espresso machine here.
Jupiter Coffee and Donuts

FAMOUS FOR: The Almond Joy Latte
As you can expect from a donut shop, they have a colorful variety of customized coffee drinks and one-off concoctions like their Harry Potter iced coffee drinks!
What we love about Jupiter is they roast their own coffee on-site, so you can be guaranteed you’ll get a great shot of espresso with the freshest beans.
These guys have also racked up national recognition for its doughnuts (they ranked #8 on USA Today’s list of the 10 Best Donut Shops in America.) But don’t sleep on the drink menu: the signature Almond Joy Latte turns your coffee order into basically a candy bar in a cup, and it pairs a little too perfectly with one of their famous apple fritters.

Shepherd’s Ground

FAMOUS FOR: The Caramel Silk
Genuinely warm service, a drive-thru for the folks in a hurry, and a signature drink menu that regulars order by name.
The Caramel Silk tops the list as their most-ordered specialty drink, smooth and dessert-like in the best way. Shepherd’s Ground also has a cool “mommy and kid drinks” Saturdays, adding to the overall warmth and community-focus they’ve fostered here.
Charis Coffee & Creamery (West Chester Twp.)

FAMOUS FOR: The Cocomocha
Billing itself as “The Calmer Coffee Collective,” Charis was built to be the opposite of the hustle, and promotes a “one sip at a time/one moment at a time” vibe in their trendy third space in West Chester Township. Wooden floors and furniture pair with house plants to give it a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the coffee ain’t half bad either!
Their standout is the Cocomocha, a dairy-free cold brew swirled with mocha, almond, and coconut and finished with a coconut cream whip. If you’re heading there in the colder months, the honey cinnamon latte is a staff rec. Credit to Charis for our Halloween-latte featured image for this article!
Coffee Cup Overflowing (Fairfield Township)

FAMOUS FOR: The White Chocolate Latte
A cozy, library-shelved, fireplace-equipped coffee shop that’s been a Fairfield Township staple since 2015, Coffee Cup Overflowing sources Fair Trade Organic beans from famed Cincinnati roasters Seven Hills and Pneuma.
Their white chocolate latte and frozen mocha are both interesting coffee creations you can try. Swing through the drive-thru on your way to Bridgewater Falls, or settle in and stay a while.
