You can be sure your coffee is always made with care at Black Key, who are fast becoming one of the big names in the local coffee scene. Importantly, they roast their own beans in-house, which really does give coffee a stronger and more prominent taste in every cup.
Black Key has a rotating monthly specials list, and they share their space with the beer brewing portion of Avon Brewing! Their shop is chic and cozy, perfect for a coffee on a winter’s day.
Elysium Café

Elysium only recently opened but has taken the area by storm! Their outdoor pergola is ideal for a relaxing afternoon in the sun, accompanied by some great coffee and maybe even a crepe or two?
They bring a minimalist, chic coffee vibe to their location on Lake Road. Alongside intriguing desserts and freshly baked goods, it’s easy to see why they’ve enjoyed so much success at this location already.

Chez Michel French Market & Bakery

Let’s be honest, in Ohio it’s rare to find a place labeling itself as a French bakery that actually lives up to the billing, authenticity-wise, but this is precisely what Chez Michel is: authentically French. Set in an old farmhouse style building, it’s a charming place to visit for a slow morning brew.
Take in the chic vibes here in the French creek of Avon, and indulge in their freshly baked pastries like quiches and croissants.
Their coffee is provided by local Cleveland coffee roasters Lekko. The coffee menu is more traditional here, think lattes, capuccinos etc., so don’t expect any wild seasonal infusions, just good coffee in a charming location. They also host events in their upstairs room.

New to the Avon Lake coffee scene, their Lake Road location is great for outdoor seating with a number of picnic benches, and they have a great seasonal rotation of coffees from gingerbread lattes in winter to frozen blended coffees in summer.
They also whip up fresh smoothies and shakes. It’s a proudly veteran-owned business, too.
Emilie’s Coffee House & Wine Bar

This super trendy coffee and social spot is a mainstay in the Avon Lake coffee scene. They even have a beautiful coffee cart they take around for private events and pop-ups.
As well as coffee, they offer delicious bites and even freshly baked farm bread.
